During his summer internship at Remitly, Mayowa designed and evaluated data-driven pricing experiments that delivered a 118% uplift in lower-tier profit per customer and improved customer retention outcomes. He also analyzed performance across 75+ payment corridors to surface key behavioral insights and build early-warning analytics for retention forecasting.
Prior to Smith, Mayowa served as a Strategic Finance Analyst at LemFi, where he supported fundraising and diligence for a $33M Series A, and helped strengthen finance and treasury processes to improve reporting transparency and operational efficiency. He has also delivered cross-border risk and reporting automation work supporting tech startups across Africa, and began his career in assurance and advisory at Deloitte.
At Smith, Mayowa is a Smith Fellowship recipient and an Equity Analyst (Energy & Utilities) with the Mayer Fund, selected as one of 12 students managing an $8.7M university investment fund.
