Governance, Risk & Controls Intern (Summer 2027 Start)

As a Governance, Risk & Controls Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals, build your understanding of internal audit and risk, and develop skills that will help you succeed in your career. We’re looking for curious, motivated students who are excited to learn, contribute, and grow with our team.
Our experienced Governance, Risk & Controls team leaders will provide hands-on training and mentorship to help Interns:
- Develop documentation of existing internal controls and internal processes
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in a variety of business areas.
- Suggest solutions to strengthen controls, improve profitability and aid management decision-making capability.
- Assist in the development of oral and written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the examination, discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective actions to improve operations.
Success as an intern starts with a great attitude and a willingness to learn. Other desired skills and attributes include:
- Pursuing a BS or BA in Accounting
- Strong process and analytical skills
- Knowledge of GAAP and general business and operational principles a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency
- Independent, proactive, self-motivated
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues and make recommendations
