GENERAL FUNCTION:
Assists the Investment Management Group (IMG) with basic investment analysis, research, communication, reporting, portfolio management and project management in functional areas including Investment Strategy, Equity Research, Alternatives, External Managers and Private Markets. This position is focused on supporting the Investment Strategy team reporting directly to the Chief Investment Strategist.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investment Management Associate Duties vary depending on assignment and may include any of the following:
- Plays a vital role in our communications to internal and external customers through preparation of publications including: Daily morning market overview, weekly economic and market update, quarterly review, economic presentations and updates of various IMG presentations.
- Assists in research projects, including data preparations for: Monthly strategy call, financial market overviews, weekly economic & market update calls and weekly topics in portfolio management calls.
- Provides reportings on regional holding, monitor list and committee minutes
- Provides basic equity research analysis in assigned small sector coverage
Serves as point of information and contact with our Portfolio Managers.
Leads and/or participates in IMG projects and ad-hoc assignments
Associate Portfolio Manager Duties
- Assists Chief Investment Strategist in handling money management activities and client service for specific group of clients and/or acting within established investment policy guidelines, uses funds and models to execute investment programs designed to achieve the objectives of small client accounts.
- Prepare sales and investment review materials for use in client presentations.
- Provide research and analysis on client portfolios using complex data services (Bloomberg, Baseline, Morningstar, etc.)
- Under the direction of the chief investment strategist, execute investment programs utilizing models and mutual funds to accomplish client objectives.
- Follow established investment policies and procedures including annual account reviews and working to minimize and/or document exceptions.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but equivalent experience considered.
- 1-4 years of investment experience with Bachelor’s degree.
- 0-2 years of investment experience with a MBA or CFA.
- Ability to work with economic data sets.
- Ability to use Bloomberg system.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel, word, and power point.
- CFA candidate or charter holder preferred.
