GEX Capital is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our private equity team as an Investment Associate Intern. This unpaid internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and exposure to the fast-paced world of private equity.
As an investment associate intern, you will work closely with our team of seasoned professionals, assisting in the analysis, due diligence, and execution of investment opportunities. This unpaid internship offers invaluable hands-on experience and the potential for long-term growth within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on potential investment opportunities, including market trends, financial statements, and industry dynamics.
- Assist in building complex financial models and performing valuation analyses to assess investment opportunities.
- Support the due diligence process by conducting company and industry research, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing investment memos.
- Participate in investment meetings and contribute to discussions on potential investments.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking the performance of portfolio companies and preparing performance reports.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and ad hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
- Strong academic record, with a focus on finance, accounting, or investment-related coursework.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity, finance, and investment analysis.
- Proficient in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Previous internship or work experience in finance or a related field is a plus.
