What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the policies and processes to purchase raw materials required to process and manufacture products, conduct research, or enable other business activities.
- Monitor and analyze the commodities market, global economic conditions, and events to make informed purchase decisions.
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor suppliers and develop relationships to provide reliable sourcing and ensure the quality and availability of required commodities.
- Oversee bidding and contract negotiations to obtain the best pricing to meet commodity needs.
- Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
- Analyze inventory levels, manufacturing schedules, and long-term business objectives to plan and manage purchases.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing the purchase and delivery of goods.
- Foster the professional development of direct reports.
- Develop KPI and report relevant purchasing metrics.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Prepare for and participate in regular quality and financial audits.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
The Skills/Experience Needed for the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of management experience.
- Strong background in Supply Chain Management.
- Highly developed in management and leadership skills.
- Strong negotiator.
- Advanced presentation, team facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of technical acuity and good analytical skills.
- Strong computer knowledge, including MS Office, JD Edwards, SAP or similar ERP.

Salary Range
$99,266 – $138,972 (Compensation could be higher based on education, experience and skill sets)
