About this opportunity:

Internships are educational hands-on opportunities that provide unique NASA-related research and operational experiences for educators and high school, undergraduate, and graduate students (age 16 and up). To learn more, visit https://intern.nasa.gov.

Join our dynamic team as a Human Capital Automation Specialist within the Human Capital Information Technology (HCIT) branch at NASA headquarters. This virtual internship offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects aimed at enhancing human capital workflows and business applications within low-code platform environments.

Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate on the development of user-centric workflows and business applications for human capital utilizing a low-code platform.
– Assist in defining requirements, IT strategy development, and other project management tasks while working closely with HR customers.
– Gain hands-on experience in IT project management alongside senior IT project managers, contributing to the successful delivery of projects that support NASA’s mission.

Qualifications:
– Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
– Strong grasp of programming languages strategies and techniques (e.g. data types, logical operators, logging, testing, etc.)
– Experience with low-code platform development and automation tools.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
– Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and project management methodologies.
– Passion for leveraging technology to improve human capital processes and workflows.
