About Us

Hitting the Road is a branded podcast built around touring, entrepreneurship, and the people behind it all. We’re building an audience that connects with the stories we tell. The show lives at hittingtheroad.us and is distributed across all major platforms.

U.S. Rental Vans is the company behind the podcast — a premium passenger van rental operation currently serving Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA, with more locations coming soon. We work with touring artists, sports teams, corporate groups, churches, and anyone who needs reliable vans to get where they want to go and do what they were made to do.

The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, creative to own social media for Hitting the Road and U.S. Rental Vans. Hitting the Road is the primary focus — growing the podcast’s audience, driving episode engagement, and building a community around the brand. U.S. Rental Vans content supports the broader mission and feeds awareness back to the core business.

This is not a “schedule posts and disappear” role. You’ll develop strategy, produce content, analyze performance, and iterate based on what’s actually working. You’ll create with a portfolio of real results — not just experience on paper.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and manage the social media presence for Hitting the Road and U.S. Rental Vans across all socials maintaining brand consistency
  • Develop and execute a content calendar for both brands with a consistent posting cadence
  • Produce and edit short-form video content — Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts — including episode clips, audiograms, and original series content
  • Write captions, scripts, and hooks that stop the scroll and convert viewers into followers
  • Engage with the audience — respond to comments, build community, and grow organic reach
  • Coordinate episode rollouts — teasers, launch posts, highlight clips, and cross-platform promotion
  • Track key metrics (follower growth, reach, engagement rate, video views) and deliver a monthly performance report
  • Collaborate directly with the founder and podcast host on content direction, campaign ideas, and brand voice
  • Represent both brands on location for content shoots when applicable

What We’re Looking For

  • A natural content creator — you already make videos, run an account, or have work you’re proud to show
  • Strong instincts for short-form video and social media trends across platforms
  • Comfortable directing or appearing in shoots, and confident behind the camera
  • Self-starter who can take a brief and execute — no hand-holding required
  • Solid video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
  • Strong written communication for captions, scripts, and audience engagement
  • Based in or near Nashville, TN (preferred) — some on-site shoots required
  • Genuine interest in podcasting, entrepreneurship, and entertainment

Bonus Points If You…

  • Have experience promoting a podcast or media brand on social media
  • Know your way around Facebook Ads Manager or Meta Business Suite
  • Have grown a social account (personal or otherwise) with measurable results
  • Are familiar with scheduling tools like Metricool, Buffer, or Later
  • Know Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools
  • Have an interest in music, touring, travel, or the entrepreneurial world
