Holy City Healthcare Consultants

About Holy City Healthcare Consultants
Holy City Healthcare Consultants is a locally owned Charleston concierge healthcare company built around a simple idea: bring high-quality, personalized healthcare directly to the patient.
Our team provides mobile and concierge healthcare services throughout the Charleston area, including primary and urgent care, clinical health advocacy, IV hydration and wellness, weight management, hormone optimization, advanced health testing, metabolic testing, and other personalized healthcare services.
We are a growing company looking for a motivated College of Charleston student who wants to gain real-world experience in marketing, community outreach, business development, and entrepreneurship while helping us expand our presence throughout Charleston.
This is not an internship where you’ll spend your time filing paperwork or simply observing from the sidelines.
You’ll have an opportunity to help develop ideas, execute campaigns, build relationships, and see the results of your work firsthand.
The Role
As our Marketing & Community Outreach Intern, you’ll work directly with company leadership to help introduce Holy City Healthcare Consultants to more people and organizations throughout Charleston.
A major focus of this position will be helping us build relationships and awareness among:
College of Charleston students
Student organizations and campus groups
Apartment and residential communities
Property managers and leasing offices
Local businesses and employers
Hospitality and service-industry businesses
Gyms, fitness, wellness, and lifestyle businesses
Community organizations and local events
Other potential referral and business partners
We don’t expect you to simply follow a script. We want someone who can also bring ideas to the table and help us answer:
Who should we be talking to? How should we reach them? And what would make them interested in what we’re building?
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities may include:
Researching and identifying potential business and community partners throughout Charleston
Conducting outreach through email, phone, social media, and in-person introductions
Visiting apartment communities and local businesses to introduce our services and distribute marketing materials
Helping develop marketing campaigns specifically targeted toward College of Charleston students
Connecting with student organizations, clubs, Greek life, and other campus groups when appropriate
Helping establish relationships with apartment managers and leasing teams
Identifying opportunities for corporate and employer partnerships
Assisting with social media and grassroots marketing campaigns
Helping coordinate promotional events, wellness events, and community outreach opportunities
Maintaining organized lists of prospects, contacts, outreach activity, and follow-ups
Brainstorming creative ways to build awareness of our brand and services
Providing insight into the marketing channels, messaging, and offers that resonate with college students
Following up with interested businesses and community partners
Helping turn initial conversations into long-term partnerships and referral relationships
Skills We’d Like to See
Communication and interpersonal skills
Community outreach and relationship building
Social media and digital marketing
Creativity and brainstorming
Organization and follow-up
Research and prospect identification
Confidence with in-person and email outreach
Who We’re Looking For
This could be a great fit for a student pursuing a degree in:
Marketing • Communications • Business • Public Relations • Entrepreneurship • Hospitality • Healthcare Administration
We’re particularly interested in someone who is:
Outgoing and comfortable meeting new people
Professional and dependable
Creative and willing to bring new ideas to the company
Comfortable communicating with business owners and professionals
Familiar with College of Charleston and the surrounding Charleston community
Comfortable using social media for business and marketing purposes
Able to work independently and manage follow-ups
Interested in marketing, healthcare, entrepreneurship, sales, or business development
Excited by the opportunity to help grow a local company
Previous professional marketing experience is not required.
We’re more interested in finding someone who is motivated, personable, creative, and eager to learn.
Compensation & Perks
$15/hour
In addition to hourly compensation, you’ll receive access to several healthcare and wellness benefits through Holy City Healthcare Consultants:
Free mobile urgent care
Discounted IV hydration and wellness services
Discounted professional-grade supplements
Free PNOE metabolic testing
Free 3D body composition testing
You’ll also get the opportunity to personally experience some of the services you’ll be helping us market—which makes it much easier to authentically explain what we do.
What You’ll Gain
Our goal is for this internship to provide real experience you can put on your résumé and talk about in future interviews.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in:
Marketing Strategy • Business Development • Community Outreach • Partnership Development • Grassroots Marketing • Sales • Brand Development • Social Media • Healthcare Marketing • Entrepreneurship
Rather than working several layers below company leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with the founder and leadership team of a growing Charleston healthcare company.
You’ll be able to see how marketing decisions are made, how partnerships are developed, how campaigns are tested, and how a growing business turns ideas into revenue.
You’ll also have room to propose and pursue your own ideas.
Opportunity for Growth
We’re not looking at this as simply filling an internship for one semester.
Holy City Healthcare Consultants is growing, and we want to find talented people who can potentially grow with us.
For the right person, strong performance could lead to additional responsibilities, increased hours, future internships, or a larger marketing/business-development role with the company.
Schedule
Approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility around your class schedule.
Some work can be completed remotely, while other responsibilities will involve getting out into the Charleston community, meeting businesses, visiting apartment communities, attending events, or helping with outreach initiatives.
Because of the community-facing nature of the position, reliable transportation is preferred.
Don’t worry if you don’t have years of marketing experience.
We’re not looking for the person with the longest résumé. We’re looking for someone who is motivated, creative, comfortable talking to people, and excited about the opportunity to help build something.
