OCS is your center for all things career-related! We bring employers directly to you and make sure you’re prepared to engage with them through resume/cover letter assistance, interview prep, professional development, and more! Our comprehensive career services from coursework to coaching to employer treks lead to 99% of Smith grads either securing full-time employment or continuing their education after graduation. How can we help you succeed?

Career Coaching:
Get 1:1 assistance (virtual or in-person) through career coaching and mock interview appointments scheduled through HireSmith. OCS also offers in-person daily drop in hours: Monday – Thursday in VMH2520 and virtually on Fridays from from 12-2pm.

Career Courses:
OCS offers BMGT367 (Career Search Strategies). This 1-credit core course helps set the foundation for key career skills necessary for your search, taught by an employer partner! We also offer BGMT398a for students interested in getting credit for an internship experience during the fall or spring semester.

Direct Access to Employers:
OCS offers a variety of opportunities for students to engage with employers either on-campus, virtually, or even on the road! In addition to holding a career fair every semester, employers are frequently in Van Munching Hall to engage with students during networking events, presentations, and our employer of the day table. In partnership with SUSA, we also offer annual treks including one to NYC for students to meet with top employers across multiple industries. Follow us on Instagram to stay up to date on who is coming to campus!
