Phia Jewelry | New York City

Approximately 8–12 hours/week & occasional weekend markets/photoshoots

We’re still in the early stages of building Phia, meaning this role is different from a traditional internship at a larger company. You’ll work directly with me, the founder, and have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas across creative direction, marketing, and brand growth.

About Phia

Phia Jewelry is an NYC-based demi-fine jewelry brand inspired by a time when jewelry was more ornate and expressive. We curate vintage pieces alongside original designs that draw from Victorian, Art Deco, and old-world influences, reimagined through a playful, slightly undone lens. The result is jewelry full of character, individuality, & whimsy.

The Role

I’m looking for someone to work alongside me across the creative and marketing sides of Phia. This isn’t a role where you’ll just be handed posts to schedule – I want someone who brings ideas & their own point of view.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and scheduling social content (Instagram, TikTok, and email marketing)
  • Brainstorming reels & marketing campaigns
  • Editing and repurposing photo/video content
  • Creating mood boards and helping develop creative direction for shoots
  • Assisting on photoshoots with styling, shot lists, BTS content, and production
  • Experimenting with Meta ads, creative testing, and basic performance analysis
  • Researching trends, creators, brands, and unconventional marketing ideas
  • Helping with SEO, Pinterest, Shopify, and website optimization
  • Preparing for product launches, markets, and events
  • Assisting in person at select NYC/Brooklyn weekend markets with setup, sales, and content

The role will evolve based on the needs of the brand and your strengths/interests, with room for greater responsibility as Phia grows.

Who I’m Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Are interested in fashion, marketing, styling, photography, branding, or entrepreneurship
  • Have a strong visual eye and enjoy collaborating on a creative vision
  • Understand social media and what makes content feel current and interesting
  • Are comfortable bringing your own ideas and respectfully challenging mine
  • Are resourceful, proactive, and willing to figure things out
  • Take initiative & are comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial environment
  • Are based in NYC and available for occasional shoots, markets, and coworking sessions

Experience with social media, photo/video, editing, Shopify, Meta Ads, SEO, Pinterest, Canva/Adobe, or analytics is a plus, but not required. Curiosity and willingness to learn is more valuable than existing knowledge.

Schedule & Compensation

Approximately 8–12 hours per week, with flexibility depending on the needs of the week and your schedule.

The role will be a mix of remote and occasional in-person work in NYC. Some weeks may include additional paid hours for shoots, drops, pop-ups, or weekend markets.

Compensation: $20/hour + commission for market/event sales.

How to Apply

Please send:

  • Your résumé
  • A brief intro & why you’re interested in working with Phia
  • Your Instagram, TikTok, portfolio, or examples of creative work, if relevant
  • Or, tell me about a brand, creator, campaign, or trend you’ve seen recently that you think is doing something interesting and why
