Smith Office of Career Services Code of Conduct for MS and MBA Students
The Smith School of Business Career Services Student Code of Conduct is intended to provide a framework for establishing professional relationships and interactions between graduate students and the Office of Career Services (OCS) in the career planning and recruiting process. Students are expected to treat all employers, alumni, and the members of the OCS staff in a professional and courteous manner. Employers that recruit at the Smith School of Business and the OCS expect that students will conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner during the job search. All Masters students are responsible for adhering to the Code of Conduct and conducting their job search in an ethical fashion at all times. Students who fail to do so may lose privileges related to on-campus recruiting and career services. Prior to accessing the HireSmith Career Management Software, students must acknowledge and accept the OCS Code of Conduct. Failure to accept the OCS Code of Conduct will cost students access to OCS services and HireSmith. When in doubt, a student should seek the assistance of the OCS staff to ensure the options under consideration are consistent with the standards outlined in this document, before any choices are made.
All students are asked to review and sign the Code of Conduct via the ‘Be Fearless’ course prior to the beginning of their first term.
